BORN & RAISED

Christopher E. Diaz (Chris) was born and raised in Jacinto City. A product of the Galena Park Independent School District.

FAMILY

Constable Diaz and his wife, Ana continue to reside in Jacinto City where they are raising two sons, Chris and Nick. The family remains active in the Jacinto City Little League and are members of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

AFFILIATIONS

Constable Diaz is a member of various community and civic organizations including: Galena Park/Jacinto City Rotary Club, The Lions Club, North Channel Chamber of Commerce, Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, South Belt Ellington Chamber of Commerce, South Houston Chamber of Commerce, COPS, and LULAC Council 4703.

EDUCATION

Chris Diaz worked his way through college establishing his own real estate business. A graduate of San Jacinto College, he worked as an Associate Professor while attending college teaching air conditioning technology. He obtained an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from San Jacinto College, and has attended the University of Houston – Clear Lake to continue his studies.

MAYOR OF JACINTO CITY

Constable Diaz served as a member of the Jacinto City Council from May 2001 through March 2009 when he was appointed as Mayor to fill a vacancy.   He subsequently ran and was elected Mayor of Jacinto City, which he served through May 2011.

TRAINING

After his election in 2012, Constable Diaz graduated from the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas where he developed exceptional educational and professional development training skills to enhance the effective delivery of law enforcement services to his constituents.
