Course Description:

The law enforcement officer will be made aware of the causes and effects of stress in the lives of peace officers. The class will also be discussing internal agency issues, stress in the work place, stress confronting the individual officer, fight or flight reactions, some inappropriate approaches to coping with stress, and alcohol and drug abuse as a coping mechanism. Officers will also learn how to use self-hypnosis to manage these and other stress issues.

This is a 24 hour (3 day) course designed to teach the student about the most common cult/occult groups.  The student will learn the background and history of occults as well as how they have progressed over the years. The student will also learn what indicators to look to determine if a scene is cult related.

This course satisfies requirements for Intermediate and Advanced Peace Officer Proficiency Certifications if licensed on or after 01/01/2016, must be completed within 2 years of licensing.

      Topics include:

  • Understanding the definition of the terms “Deaf” and “Hard of Hearing”
  • Appropriate interaction techniques
  • Communication impediment Program
