Constable Christopher E. Diaz was first elected as Harris Constable of Precinct 2 in November 2012. Because of endless dedication to the residents of Precinct 2, he is now serving his second term in office after a successful re-election in November 2016.

Constable Diaz worked his way through college, establishing his own real estate business. As an alumni of San Jacinto College, he worked as an Associate Professor, teaching Business technology. He obtained an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from San Jacinto College and to continue his studies, he has also attended the University of Houston – Clear Lake.

After his election in 2012, Constable Diaz attended the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT). With this knowledge, he obtained exceptional and professional training skills to enhance the effective delivery of law enforcement services to his constituents.


Constable Diaz served as a member of the Jacinto City Council from May 2001 through March 2009 and then continued to serve his community as Mayor through May 2011.


Constable Diaz is a member of various community and civic organizations, including Galena Park/Jacinto City Rotary Club, The Lions Club, COPS, LULAC Council 4703 and numerous Chambers of Commerce, such as North Channel, South Belt Ellington, Pasadena and South Houston.

Precinct 2 covers the southeastern part of Harris County, including the ship channel. The Precinct includes the cities of Jacinto City, Galena Park, South Houston, as well as portions of southeast Houston, Pasadena, Pearland and Friendswood.
